We came to Estara after my mother's passing and realised we had no idea where half the important documents were. Napas spent three sessions with us going through everything — and by the end, we had a proper index of every document in the house. It sounds straightforward, but having that reference when we needed it was enormously helpful. The process itself was calm and unhurried, which was exactly what we needed at that time.

I booked the Getting Organised Session mainly because I did not know where to begin. By the end of it, I had a framework I could actually use — a list of categories, a clear sense of what I had and what was missing, and the printable checklist to work from. I did the rest of the sorting myself over the following weeks. Good value for what it is.

We are now in the second year of the ongoing records plan. What I appreciate most is that I do not have to think about it — the sessions are scheduled, Sirin comes, and at the end of each visit I know the inventory is current. We sold a property last year and changed one of our insurance policies, and both were reflected in the records without me having to do anything other than be present.

My husband and I have three properties and accounts in both Thai and English. Previous attempts at organising ourselves had always stalled because the volume felt overwhelming. Estara approached it differently — we went category by category over four sessions, and it never felt unmanageable. The written index at the end was exactly what we needed. My sister-in-law is now looking at booking a session too.

Malee was thorough and professional throughout. She flagged two document types we had not thought to include — our vehicle registration book history and some older correspondence with a government department that turned out to be important. Small things, but the kind of thing you don't notice until someone with experience looks at the full picture. The session ran longer than planned but there was no additional charge, which I appreciated.

We were preparing to move abroad for a few years and needed to know that someone in the family had a clear picture of everything we hold in Thailand. The cataloguing engagement gave us exactly that — a document we left with my mother-in-law so she could find things if needed. Knowing that was in place before we left made a real difference to how settled we felt about the move.

Case Studies

How the work unfolds in practice

A closer look at three engagements and what they produced for the families involved.

Records Cataloguing

A Bangkok family preparing for an estate transfer

Challenge

An elderly parent had passed, leaving behind a household with property titles, bank account records, insurance certificates, and vehicle documents spread across multiple drawers, boxes, and folders with no index. The adult children needed a clear picture before any formal proceedings could begin.

Our approach

Three sessions over four weeks. In the first session, the full range of what existed was mapped. In the second, categories were built and documents were sorted and labelled together. In the third, the written index was reviewed and completed, and the family was walked through how to maintain it.

Outcome

A complete written index covering 11 document categories, 3 flagged gaps that the family then followed up on, and a filing structure they have continued to use. The family described it as removing something that had been sitting at the edge of their awareness for months.

"We kept thinking we would just do it ourselves. We never did. Estara gave us a structure we didn't know how to create on our own."

Ongoing Records Plan

A Nonthaburi household managing multiple properties

Challenge

A family with four properties and a range of financial accounts had a cataloguing engagement completed the year prior. Records were well-organised at that point, but life had moved on — a property sale, two new insurance policies, and a change in executor arrangement had all happened since.

Our approach

Four review sessions across the year, each roughly two hours. At each session, changes since the last visit were captured, the inventory was updated in real time, and any new documents were labelled and filed. An annual summary was delivered at the year-end session.

Outcome

The inventory stayed current through a busy year with no effort on the family's part beyond being present for sessions. They renewed the plan for a second year and noted that having the records in order had simplified a bank application mid-year.

"It is the kind of thing that only matters when something happens. We have it in place so we are not scrambling when it does."

Getting Organised Session

A first-time client who did not know where to begin

Challenge

A client in their late 40s had accumulated documents across two decades of home ownership and career without any filing system at all. Previous attempts at organising had been abandoned. The task felt too large to begin.

Our approach

One Getting Organised Session, two and a half hours. The session focused not on sorting documents but on building the client's understanding of what categories existed, which mattered most for their situation, and what a manageable first step would look like.

Outcome

The client completed a first-pass sort on their own in the weeks following, using the checklist and category framework from the session. They subsequently booked a Records Cataloguing engagement to formalise the result. The session served its purpose as a starting point.

"I just needed someone to show me what the task actually involved. Once I could see the shape of it, I could start."
